Reborn Jeans
A word from the designer:
"Uuuuhh, nice and soft!" my colleague exclaimed when she held the first skein of Reborn Jeans in her hands. And yes, this yarn made from recycled jeans (post consumer) is unusually soft and the touch resembles a mixture of bourette silk and wool.
The color range is narrow and that is done on purpose: We stuck to the original colors of the jeans and didn't apply another chemical process by bleaching it and dying in different colors. The Polyester part of the yarn is made from recycled PET bottles.
The raw material is sourced in India, where the yarn is spun by a father-and-son owned company. The dyes used are free of animal derivatives.

Our Opinion
Reborn Jeans was a total surprise to me. When you read somewhere that a yarn is super soft, but made from jeans, that’s a hard thing to believe. But it’s true! This yarn is just incredibly soft and stretchy.
It has a sturdy, rustic look, making it suitable for many different kinds of knits. I experimented with lace and cables and was pleased with how it held up.
